Managing Director, Tracey Matreja started Health Tours International Ltd after experiencing the benefits of medical tourism first-hand. After having lost in excess of 80Kg of weight she desperately needed multiple procedures of surgery to remove excess skin, the first procedures were carried out in Australia where she was living at the time, the costs were in excess of $50,000, the results and level of care where definitely not what they should have been.

For the second round of surgery, Tracey decided to travel to Thailand, were she underwent multiple procedures again, including revisions of the previous surgery. All procedures where carried out at the one time, which resulted in an 8hr surgery and ended up costing just $18,000. The level of care was exceptional, the results great and the recovery period so much quicker than the first time, Tracey attributes this to the skill of the surgeon and the great aftercare.
